APPLICATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADMISSION FOR ASSOCIATE AND BACHELOR'S DEGREE PROGRAMS

The application conditions for candidates who want to study in the associate degree and undergraduate programs of our university with their own means are determined within the framework of the "Principles Regarding the Admission of Students from Abroad" announced on the website of the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education and the legislation on the admission of students from abroad / foreign nationals who will study in the associate degree and undergraduate programs of our University with their own means.

APPLICATION

Applications will be made online through the Department of Student Affairs, Gazi University Student Information System (https://obs.gazi.edu.tr/oibs/foa_app/login.aspx) and applications will not be accepted by hand or by mail.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION

 

Candidates who have one of the exams/diplomas or medals that constitute the basis for the application and whose minimum requirements are specified in the legislation will upload the documents listed below to the system online during the application along with the official result document of these exams/diplomas or medals:

  1. High School Diploma and Translation (Turkish or English)

Candidates who have not yet received their high school diploma must upload an official document (provisional graduation certificate) showing that they will graduate from their high school on a certain date and                   their possible graduation grades.

The "Equivalency Certificate", which can be obtained from the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Turkey or the Turkish Embassy in their country, showing that the high school diplomas of the candidates are equivalent to the diplomas obtained from Turkish high schools, is not required during the application. Accepted candidates will submit this document during registration.

  1. An official transcript showing all courses and grades taken at the secondary education level (high school) and a certified copy of the Turkish translation

The submitted document must have a grade point average. Transcripts without calculated GPA will not be evaluated.

  1. Passport

A scan of the photo ID page of the passport must be uploaded. Passports with at least 6 months remaining validity on the date of application will be accepted.

  1. Passport Size Photo

The photograph must be 4.5x6 cm in size, in color, taken within the last 6 months, in a way that can easily identify the candidate and reflect his/her current appearance. Photographs that do not meet these conditions are not considered uploaded. The uploaded photo will be included in the student ID card if the candidate is accepted to the program.

  1. Financial Assurance Declaration Form

Applicants who are accepted to the program they have applied for must submit the original of this form, which they uploaded while applying and which shows that they have the financial means to continue their higher education in Turkey, during registration.

  1. Bank Receipt of Deposit of Application and Examination Fee

During the application process, candidates must upload a receipt showing that they have deposited 100 Dollars (USD) as "application and examination fee" to the account specified below. The student's name-surname and the IBAN number of our University must appear on the current dated

 

receipt; receipts that do not contain this information or missing information will not be accepted and the application will not be evaluated.

If the candidate's application fee will be deposited by another person, the name and surname of the candidate must be included in the explanation section of the receipt as "(Name) (Surname) 's application and exam fee".

Note: Candidates, if they are entitled to enroll, must submit the originals of these documents uploaded to the system during the application to the University.

EVALUATION and ACCEPTANCE

  1. Evaluation procedures are carried out according to the scores of the candidates who meet the conditions, which are formed by ranking their scores on the hundredth system from the highest to the lowest, taking into account the order of preference and the country quota.
  2. If the scores are equal, the candidate with the younger age is placed. If there is equality in all criteria for the program applied for, the admission process is carried out by lottery.
  3. Candidates who apply to programs that take students with a special talent exam are taken to the special talent exam held for the relevant program. These candidates must also be successful in the special talent exam for admission to the University.

IMPORTANT EXPLANATIONS AND NOTES ABOUT APPLICATION

    • The exam type selected and uploaded in the "Exams" tab while applying will be evaluated. Candidates will be evaluated with a single exam document of their choice. Do not forget to upload your exam result document (diploma, TR-YÖS, etc.) to the "Exams" tab and record your score correctly.

 
    • Candidates can choose a maximum of three (3) different programs.

    • The applications of candidates who completed their secondary education in TRNC will be received online after the announcement of the GCE A-Level final exam results in August 2025. These candidates should follow the announcements at https://ogris.gazi.edu.tr/.

    • In the past years, there have been problems with e-mail addresses with @hotmail, @msn, @outlook etc. extensions. For this reason, if you do not receive the acceptance letters sent as a result of the evaluation of the applications, you should contact the Registrar's Office viainternationalstudent@gazi.edu.tr e-mail address.

TUITION FEES

The annual tuition fees of the programs to be applied for have not yet been determined and will be announced separately during the application and evaluation process.
